Who we are?
The Hills District Muslim Society has been catering to the Islamic needs of the local muslim community for over 15 years.
We have been providing the community with daily Salah, Ramadan Taraweeh, Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha Salah, Organising and holding community talks, halaqas, programs, youth events, a centre for community dawah open to all who wish to learn about Islam and the community residing in the Hills area.
What we are doing?
Our Goal is to build the spiritual and physical meeting place for Muslims and the wider local community. It allows the local community to come together for prayer, reflection, communication, education and engagement.
We aim to define and convey a clear perception and understanding of the Islamic teachings to Australia.
In short, a masjid is the heart of the local community.
Why this is needed?
There is no facility catered towards the growing Muslim community in The Hills District. An Islamic Centre will cater to the various social, spiritual, and physical needs of the local and wider community.
The Prophet Muhammad SAW said:
“Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allah SWT , Allah will build a house for him in Paradise.”
